| Pont Aven. This beautiful town is about 20 km north of Quinquis and could call itself the village of painters with something like 35 art galleries (Paul Gaugin himself was resident here) and even if you do not want to buy a painting, you probably will. It is a very picturesque town which is enhanced by the river that runs through it. Pont Aven is a popular tourist town with plenty of shops and places to eat. You can also take a river sea cruise from here. |

| Guidel. Guidel is a fairly large town which hosts an excellent market on Sunday mornings. It has plenty of gift shops and a good wine shop in the market square. Guidel Plage is not far away where you can sit with a drink and watch the world go by. |

| Doelan. This is a delightful unspoiled fishing harbour where fish can be bought as it lands. A pleasant walk round the harbour, including a tree lined section, makes a visit very worthwhile and you can again enjoy a meal or drink overlooking the harbour to round off your visit. |

Le Pouldo. With its three lovely beaches and rock pools, Le Pouldo is a favourite day out for many and is only 3 kms from the camp site. It boasts an excellent restaurant for those who enjoy a good meal, or, for just one euro, you can jump on the small ferry which takes you across the River Laita to Guidel Plage where again you can enjoy a bite to eat at an excellent creperie.
For the more energetic there is a circular walk round the River Laita taking in both Le Pouldo and Guidel Plage with some stunning scenery which can be interrupted with a meal and a drink to send you on your way.
| Clohars-Carnoet. This is the nearest town to Quinquis with shops and banks and a post office. This is where the nearest supermarket is to be found. The market here is on a Saturday in the new town square. |
Concarneau. About 15kms north of Pont Aven can be found Concarneau with its fabulous walled fortress in the middle of the harbour. It is the third largest fishing port in France and a good all year round resort. The Museum of Fishing and the chocolate shops inside the walled fort are worth a visit.
